Full-size, and Mini Classes

This is how we want to see the hump plates

Keep in mind that the size requirements on the hump plates
The sizes pictured is for the 77 and newer coil spring cars
PRO-STOCK RULES
1. Each driver must register and sign a release.
2. The track or promoter reserves the right to approve or reject any entry.
3. All entry fees will be $40.00
4. Each driver must be 18 years of age or have a Senior’s Driver’s License. Drivers under 18 must show proof of a valid Driver’s License and a notarized release signed by a parent or guardian.
5. No entry fees or pit passes will be refunded on illegal cars.
6. All cars must be inspected ½ hour before Showtime.
7. All cars must be removed from the grounds within (12) hours.
8. Drivers have to have long pants and at least a short sleeved shirt. No tank tops, muscle shirts, or shorts.
1. Any American-made sedan or station wagon No. 66 and older imperials or
convertibles.
2. Helmet, seatbelt & eye protection must be worn at all times.
3. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during Driver’s Meeting.
4. Any ? call first. If it doesn’t say you can, don’t do it. Cars must be stock unless modification is stated in rules. No painting of frames.
5. Judges decision final. May reject any or all entries and cars are subject to re inspection at any time.
6. All glass, plastic & interior must be removed before arriving at the event.
7. Motor of choice. Distributor protectors are allowed, kicker from dash bar permitted but cannot be welded to the distributor protector.
8. Trailer hitches & braces must be removed.
9. A 14x14 inspection hole must be put in all trunk lids.
10. Original gas tank must be removed & replaced with a boat-type tank. Move to inside of car behind the drivers seat and no further back than the rear axle.
11. Batteries must be moved to passenger’s side floorboard.
12. You may weld, wire, or bolt doors, trunk lids, tail gates if you wire only 8 places #9 wire double strand may go around frame or bumper. You may weld, wire, or bolt only 13. Deck lids may have two 1” pieces of all thread from floor pan to deck lids 3” washer max these may not be attached to frame in any way. On wagons these may go through the rear roof pillars not the roof.
14. No interior seam welding will be permitted. On pre-ran cars, some sheet metal can be repaired back to stock.
15. Frame welding is limited to the front & back bumper areas. Frame seam from A-arms forward may be welded top side only.
16. Any year bumper permitted. All bumper seams may be welded. No adding of metal will be permitted. You may use ¼” plate to weld from bumper to frame 2 sides only. 17.Bumper shocks must appear stock and may not be no farther than 10” inside of the frame.
18. If a frame section needs to be replaced or fixed (rust) you must call.
19. You may put 4, 3in x 3in plates on pre-ran cars that have frame damage. If a seam has come apart, you may weld up to 6in of frame but counts as 1 of the 4 plates allowable. (No plates bigger than 3x3)
20. The pre-ran cars that have been bent at the feet, can be pulled back down, but you cannot use the 3x3 plates to repair that spot. (Call if questions)
21. Angles for the cross member can’t be any longer than 6 in. and must be within 12” from factory location.
22. You may have a window bar or wire in windshield and rear window if using metal it can be no thicker than 3/8 inch no wider than 3 inches.
23. You may modify tie rods & control arms & use valve stem protectors.
24. You may use a floating gas tank protector that comes off the back bar, but it cannot be wider than 24”. The gas tank protector or holder may extend all the way against the sheet metal but do not beat the sheet metal back to the frame. If the protector is wider than 24” it will not be allowed to run.
25. You may have 6 bolts on the hood to keep it secure bolts can be 1 in. in dia. The front two may go all way through core support and be 1” in dia.. Angles for this not to exceed 6”. 1“ bolts max..
26. Hoods must be open for inspections. (12x12in hole over carburetor)
27. If automobile is tucked there must be large access holes to see in. Cars may not be smashed flat.
28. Body mounts must remain in place or 1 in. stack of washer is ok.
29. Body bolts & washers may be changed. (1 in. diam. Bolt max, 5 in. max washers) Must start in stock position.
30. Upper A-arms may be folded down to frame and welded if you use metal to weld A-arms. You can weld a 2x2 inch max plate from the tip of the A-arms (edge to edge call) to the top of the frame front and back sides of upper A-arm. Lower control arms may not be welded you can change out the new style A-arms for the old ones. No ball joint protectors. Cars do not have to bounce.
31. Bumper cannot be lower than 15” or higher than 22” from bottom of bumper. Frame may not be lower than 14”.
32. Coil springs in the rear may be welded, wired, or chained to the rear-end.
33. You may use rear-end of choice. You may add 3 bolts per wheel well. Rear-end protectors may be used but may not extend back past rear-end backing plates and be no higher than the top of the axle tubes.
34. Leaf spring cars may replace broken springs with factory 5/16” leaf springs only. No more than 7 springs allowed and must have a 2” stagger and mounted in factory location.
35. You cannot change coil spring to leaf spring set-ups!!!
36. You can add A piece of angle (4x4 in. ¼ thick max) to the top of the core support but can only be 1 inch wider than the largest radiator.
37. You may have a roll cage surrounding the driver’s compartment with a roll over bar. Bars must be sheet metal-to-sheet metal (no kickers to frame) 16in. max behind seat & must be at least 6in. off the floor.
38. Engines may be chained in 1 chain per side chains can be 3/8” max. these chains may not be longer than 16” and no more than 5 chain links to be welded to frame.
39. On 77’s and newer coil sprung cars you may use a hump plate. Hump plate may be ¼ in. x 6” x 22 in. centered in the hump they will be measured from the top center of the hum and must start no lover than the center of the frame. On 76 and older and any year leaf spring cars you may use an ¼” x 6” x11” hump plate to be measured the same way.
40. Cars must be stock unless modifications stated in rules. We have the right to drill or cut any car at any time.
41. You may clip pre-ran cars this must be done at the cross member with a single but weld with no metal added must use same.
42. You may cut the flaps and re-weld to tilt the front of new style fords no metal may be added.
43. IF YOU STRETCH A RULE YOU WILL LOSE THAT RULE.
LEAF SPRING CLASS

33. Leaf springs: Seven (7) leafs per side. No bigger than ¼” thick and no wider than 2 ½” Spring all may be same length main spring may be anywhere in stack. Four (4) spring clamps per side no bigger than ½” No taping of springs. Suspension may be locked or welded solid all thread may be used for shocks front A arms may be welded solid. Rear spring shackles: front shackles may not exceed 6” in length rear shackles may be 3” wide ¼” thick and 6” long. Front shackle may be welded to the frame only half way up the frame the rear shackle may be welded all the way to the top of the frame all thread for shocks may go all the way through the floorboards with a 3” washer the floorboards have to be cut. Springs may not be on edge or inside of frame behind rear axle.

MINI CARS
1
. At least (5) cars must show to have this heat.2. Mini cars must have no more than a 107” wheelbase 4 & 6 cylinder engines only. No full-frame cars permitted.
3. Suspension may be solid.
4. For all other rules refer to full-size rules ( above)
5. No hump plates permitted on mini cars.
Full Size Truck and Mini Trucks Rules
1. Any American made 2 wheel drive pick up, full-size suburban and blazer type vehicles permitted.
2. Factory fuel tanks must be removed.
3. You may run engine of choice.
4. Fuel tanks must be located in the bed of the trucks in the in the center of the bed directly behind cab. No stock fuel tanks permitted. Fuel cells must be securely fastened and covered.
5. Battery may be moved to front floor of cab. Battery must be securely fastened to floor and covered.
6. All trucks must have seat belts.
7. Doors must be secured by wire, chain, or welded shut no loose doors permitted.
8. Tail gates may be welded shut
9. Box and cab mounts may be replaced with up to 1” bolts body mounts may be removed.
10. No trailer hitches or reinforcements of frame or body of any kind permitted. May use car bumpers for mounting of car bumpers you may use factory bumper shocks and brackets or a 3” X 3” X 5” long box steel or like wise material.
11. Hoods must be in place and operable must have a 12” X 12” hole cut in hood over carburetor
12. Hoods may be wired or bolted shut only 8 double strands of wire permitted all can go to frame or bumper see full-size rules.
13. No 4 wheel drives permitted 4 wheel drives must have front drive shaft removed.
14. Tires are to be stock sizes for trucks no split rims.
15. Beds must be welded to cab of trucks with a 3” strap directly behind doors.
16. 8 double strands of wire permitted on front and rear of truck all permitted to go to frame
17. Suspension may be solid.
18. A 4 point cage is highly recommended in drivers compartment for drivers safety. Also a gas tank protector is highly recommended. Protector may attach to frame but may not extend further than 24” from the front of the bed.
80’S AND NEWER NO WELD
1. Any 80”s and newer American made automobile. No checker cabs, convertibles, or 4 wheel drive cars
2. Any ? call first. If it doesn't say you can, don't do it. Cars must be stock unless modification is stated in rules. No painting of frame we have the right to drill or cut any car at any time
3. All glass, plastic & interior must be removed before arriving at the event.
4. Trailer hitches & braces must be removed.
5. A 14x14 inspection hole must be put in all trunk lids.
6. Original gas tank must be removed & replaced with a boat-type tank. Moved to inside of car behind the drivers seat and no further back than the rear axle. Batteries must be moved to passenger's side floorboard.
7. No interior seam welding will be permitted. All doors, hoods, and trunk lids must be fastened shut with wire, banding, chain. Drivers door may be welded vertical seams only no other welding permitted on body of car. Hoods, deck lids, and or tail gates may have 6 double strands of #9 wire to fasten shut sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding of these will be permitted
8. Angles for the cross member can't be any longer than 6 in. and must be within 12” from factory location
9. Motor of choice permitted. Any 5 lug rear end permitted.
10. You may have a bar in the dash area and behind drivers seat. Dash bar must be 5” from firewall
11. Hoods must be open for inspections. (12xl2in hole over carburetor)
If body mount bolts are changed you may use no bigger than ½” bolts. All cars must have a 1” space between body and frame.
13. Coil springs in the rear may be welded, wired or chained to the rear-end No solid suspension all suspension components must remain factory stock no modifications will be permitted
14. Engines may be welded, wired, or chained in to engine cradle only nothing may attach to frame
15. Bumpers must be factory 80’s and newer bumpers only welding of shock tubes to bumper permitted no adding of any metal
16. IF YOU STRETCH A RULE YOU WILL LOSE THAT RULE.
MOWER RULES
1. MOWER MUST BE A FACTORY AVAILABLE
MOWER LAWN OR GARDEN MOWER (NO HOME MADE FRAMES)
2. NO REAR ENGINE LAWN MOWERS ARE ALLOWED.
3. ENGINE MUST BE FACTORY LAWN MOWER ENGINE SUCH AS BRIGGS & STRATTON, TECUMSEH,
ONAN ETC.
4. ALL FRAME MODIFICATION AND FRAME REINFORCING WILL BE ALLOWED.
5. TRANSAXLES MUST BE FACTORY AVAILABLE MOWER TRANSAXLES BUT ANY REINFORCING
AND/OR WELDING OF SPIDER GEARS IS PERMITTED
6. ENGINE BAY REINFORCING IS PERMITTED BUT MUST BE CONTAINED INSIDE OF HOOD AND
MUST MAINTAIN FACTORY BODY LINES
7. ALL MOWERS MUST RUN A FACTORY HOOD AND FENDERS AND HAVE THE HOOD EITHER
SCREWED OR WELDED DOWN TO DASH PANEL AROUND DRIVERS AREA ( NOTE IF HOOD IS
FIBERGLASS YOU CAN MAKE ONE OUT OF SHEET METAL ONLY BUT MUST BE THE SAME SIZE AS
THE FIBERGLASS ONE)
8. MOWERS MUST HAVE GOOD BRAKES AND FORWARD AND REVERSE GEARS AT THE START OF
THE HEAT.
9. GAS TANK MUST BE SECURED AND HAVE A CAP ON IT (ANY GAS AT ALL LEAKING AND YOU
WILL BE ASK TO SHUT IT DOWN)
10. LEG GUARDS ARE MANDATORY AND MUST BE BOLTED AND/OR WELDED FROM REAR FENDER
TO FRONT OF FOOT REST OR FRAME (CALL ?)
11. A REAR BUMPER IS PERMITTED BUT IS NOT ALLOWED TO EXTEND MORE THEN 4 INCHES
OUT AND IT MUST STAY IN BETWEEN THE TIRES ALSO NO SPIKES, SHARP EDGES OR ANY
PERTUSIONS ALLOWED (BUMPER CAN BE HOME MADE WITH I/H BEAM OR SQ. TUBING. CALL?)
12. REGEARING AND CHANGING OF PULLEYS TO INCREASE SPEED IS PERMITTED AND
ENCOURAGED.
13. ANY AND ALL DRIVE TRAIN MODIFICATIONS IS PERMITTED BUT MUST STAY BUILT
DRIVEN.
14. ALL MOWERS MUST USE LAWN MOWER TYPE WHEELS TRACTOR TREADS AND CUT TIRES WILL
BE PERMITTED BUT NO TIRE CHAINS OR DUAL WHEELS WILL BE ALLOWED.
15. MOWER DECKS MUST BE REMOVED
16. ALL HEAD LIGHTS AND ANY OTHER GLASS AND PLASTICS MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE YOU
ENTER THE PITS.
17. BATTERIES MUST BE REMOVED FROM MOWER AND ONLY USED TO JUMP START THE MOWER
BEFORE THE HEAT BEGINS IF A PULL START IS USED DRIVER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO
RESTART ENGINE DURING THE HEAT.
18. NO FRONT BUMPERS YOU CAN BUILD UP THE FRONT OF THE FRAME AND UNDERNEATH THE
GRILL TO HIT WITH. THE FRONT OF THE MOWER MUST BE A SMOOTH FINISH FOR SAFETY.
19. ROLE-OVER* DRIVER IS OUT OF HEAT ALSO IF A DRIVER TOUCHES THE GROUND WITH A
HAND OR A FOOT DRIVERS IS ALSO OUT OF THE HEAT
20. FOR SAFETY IF A MOWER DOES ROLE OVER ALL DRIVERS MUST STOP AND WAIT UNTIL
THAT DRIVER UP-RIGHTS HIS MOWER AND GETS OFF THE TRACK
21. PLEASE PUT YOUR NUMBER ON EACH SIDE OF YOUR MOWER OR YOUR HELMET SO WE CAN
TRACK THE WINNERS.
22. ALL GROUND RULES WILL BE GONE OVER IN A MOWERS DRIVERS MEETING BEFORE THE
HEAT
80 & NEWER PRO-STOCK RULES

6. All cars must be inspected ½ hour prior to Showtime.
7. All cars must be removed from grounds within 12 hours after the event

36. Engines may be chained in 1 chain per side 3/8” chain max. these chains may be no longer than 16” and no more than 5 chain links may be welded to the frame.
37. For coil sprung cars you may use a hump plate they may be ¼” X 6” X 22” centered in the hump they will be measured from the top center of the hump and must start no lower than the center of the frame. On leaf spring cars you may use a ¼” X 6” X 11” hump plate to be measured the same way. These hump plates may contour the frame.
38. Cars must be stock unless modifications stated in rules. We have the right to RE-INSPECT, DRILL, OR CUT any car at any time.
39. You may clip pre-ran cars this must be done at the cross member with a single butt weld with no metal added must use same make and model of frame IE: ford to ford gm to gm.
40 You may cut flaps and re-weld to tilt the front of new style fords no metal may be added.
41. IF YOU STRETCH A RULE YOU WILL LOSE THAT RULE.
The rules and / or regulations set fourth herein are designed to
provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum
acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the conditions
of all events, and, by participating in these events, all participants are
deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND / OR
REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and in no
way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit minor
deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further
restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable
requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM
ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. NO interpretation or deviation of these rules I
left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.
